Devlog #1
I admit that it took me a long time to get enough courage to post my simple game project. Creating a game is a lot like taking care of a child, one of those who needs a lot of attention.
I want to make an appointment with you, and bring the next devlog in approximately two weeks. So that we can be closer and you can follow how I have been taking care of this child.
DON'T LET ME BREAK OUR CONTRACT!
Apu's Journey version 0.2
This is still going to be a long journey, and I'm releasing version 0.2 of the game. I admit that, those of you who tested version 0.1 will not find any additions regarding content, this was not the type of update I proposed.
I've been receiving incredible feedback about the game and wanted to focus on implementing some of the suggested improvements, can we discuss them a little?
The only really radical change concerns screen resolution. RPG Maker (the engine where Apu's is being produced) originally supports a resolution of 816x624, this is not really a terrible resolution, but it is far from the ideal 16.9 aspect ratio, which made me opt for 1104x624.

The current Apu file selection screen.
Another point that I paid special attention to was the game's art. Of course, I wasn't trying to kill the game boy aesthetic or anything like that. Just rework some parts better so they were more attractive.
for example, this:
I especially thank @VictorSenArt for all the notes and suggestions regarding art.
I also had support in testing the version by the creator of @Elidriel (Gabriel Schade), He suggested some improvements to the game's programming and adjustments to the difficulty and weakening of some very difficult enemies.
For my Brazilian audience, you can check out the beginning of a gameplay in native language through my friend Ricky.
Some bugs already resolved in the current version are still present in the video, sorry about that.
